  1. I dunno about leopards but there have certainly been sightings of black panthers, which have a couple of communities, one on Bodmin Moor and one in Thetford forest. I’ve actually seen one, walking along the railway line, which is as good a place for a large animal to get from one place to another in peace as another. My husband saw it too, it was definitely NOT a domestic cat as there were structures we could measure it by. It was about 3′ high. There’s no reports of them being particularly aggressive, in fact on the whole they appear to be shy and content to do their own thing.
